Hi, my name is Makhosazana Katlego Radebe. I am a third year University of Johannesburg student. The course I am currently doing is Bed which is a Bachelor of Education. My subject areas are Life Orientation and history. I specifically choose those two subjects because with Life Orientation as a teacher you are the one to help direct the learners on the path that will benefit them. Life Orientation also helps to develop the child holistically. Moreover History is important for us to know who we are and where we are going in order for us to change our rapidly transforming society. I was inspired to take this profession because of a selfless teacher who changed my life, motivated me through all and I believe I can also be that kind of teacher to someone who unknowingly needs me, a child who can be a game changer in his/her own life and their society. Teaching is not for the sake of teaching and passing knowledge but to make learners consciously aware of their strengths, their environment and how to change that.
