Marcus De Storm

Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Marcus De Storm spent most of his life living in and around Seacroft - LS14 - where his family are still deep rooted today. Son of Scottish/Irish parents, brother two other siblings, Marcus has enjoyed the journey of writing; creating works which many family, friends and associates have found inspirational - and controversial.

From the age of twelve to eighteen, through acts of young rebellion, he became what was commonly known as a "Lost Boy", a child to adult put through the local authorities care system. At eighteen, still misguided by the rebel ways he spent a while in an adult prison, the one place that influenced much of his poetry and a unique selection of private, unpublished stories.

By the age of twenty-one, Marcus' sudden halt of rebellion brought a very big question mark over his sudden change of life, where every new day brought new challenges - sometimes too challenging or competitive.

At the age of twenty-eight, with the firm decision to settle down and get married, Marcus and his girlfriend left Leeds to begin a new life in Rhyl, North Wales. But this was not to be the solution to his problems of home town disputes and hostilities on a lifestyle left behind. After just three years, Marcus and wife, Carol, who married in April 2000 in Rhyl, decided it was time to return home to Seacroft, and seek out a progress that would benefit them both and their family.

A year passed before both Carol and Marcus became pregnant with twin girls, Chantal and Jade, who finally filled the large hole of emptiness that Marcus had been missing. It was now that everything the past had thrown at him was a distant memory.

Today, Marcus and his family live in Walton, Wetherby near Leeds, where the tranquil surrounds allow him to concentrate and write on a much better level.
