Michael Kumi
My name is Michael Kumi and I was born on November 13th of 1992 in Accra , Ghana. I am the oldest of three siblings and the only male.
My hobbies are spending time with my friends, jogging, listening to music, and going to the gym. I am very interested in matters on world ethics, current events, and people's points of views.
My favorite subject ever has been IB TOK, which is International Baccalaureate Theory of Knowledge. I enjoyed this class the most because of the challenges that I was faced with, the purpose of the class is to uncover reasons as to why and how people think the way they do. In this class we had to read books by John Grisham. I have read a few of Grisham's novels, I believe Grisham knows how to capture an audience early and keep us hooked all the way through the end with great detail. The three things I value most in this world, they are; My Family, My Religion, and My Freedom. My family supports me physically and emotionally, Religion has shaped who I am today and my Freedom is one thing that I never take for granted.
I am currently a student at the University of Georgia and I can honestly say I have never been happier. I believe this institution will help me to achieve my goals of success when I am older. My short-term goal is always to be the best that I can be. I believe that when you tell yourself, you will do your best work no matter what, only greatness can ensue. It takes a strong person to commit to doing their best work but I have made this a short-term goal continuously for the past seventeen years and it is yet to fail me, so I stand by this goal of mine and I work towards this goal wholeheartedly each and every day.
My long-term goal is to become the number one specialist in my medical practice, I am an aspiring Medical Doctor and my specialist will be Neurology. I believe that with the hard work and determination that I put into my studies now, and the zeal I have to succeed and be the best that I can be, I will be able to accomplish this goal at the correct time of life.
I believe you can tell a lot about a person from their favorite quote, my favorite quote has always been: "There's 2 days in every week you can't worry about. Yesterday & tomorrow, you cant change yesterday & can't control tomorrow so live for TODAY". To me, this reveals my optimistic viewpoint on the world and my passion to make the best out of each and every day.
