Melody Kukundakwe is a professional journalist with special skills in news gathering, writing, copy editing, photography and design and page layout.
With interest in modern media, Kukundakwe began her career as an intern with Daily Monitor newspaper a highly reputable newspaper in Uganda. While interning with Daily Monitor, she gained a wealth of experience in news gathering and writing hard news articles and feature stories on health, politics, lifestyle, and infrastructural development.
Kukundakwe then joined National Drug Authority in the Public Relations Department. While there, she participated in carrying out the communication needs of the organisation.
She also well versed with online communications she has done online communication for Mama Tendo Foundation. She was also involved in organising company events and marketing company products.
Kukundakwe is currently a sub-editor at The Standard Newspaper, the Uganda Christian University community newspaper. She works with a team of veteran journalists and editors from recognised media houses like the Daily Monitor and New Vision. She has advanced skills in design and page layout, copy editing, photography, news gathering and writing which are core competences in the field of communications.

She is also a communications volunteer with Save The Mothers www.savethemothers.com and believes no mother should die while giving birth.

Kukundakwe is a true representation of an all-round contemporary person. Communications is her passion that she plans to do for the rest of her life.
