MM Anderson Art
Artist in South Carolina
My given name is Mary Melinda but most folks just call me Linda. I majored in art back in the day at Lynchburg College in Virginia where I was born and raised in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I’ve always been inspired by nature. Growing things and animals are my favorite models and I love to garden. In recent years I have made my home in the Eastern part of South Carolina where local subjects can be found in black water rivers, marsh habitats and coastal scenery as well as in the back yard of the century old Arts and Crafts bungalow where I live. My preferred artistic medium is soft pastel on paper but I also work with more contemporary digital graphics and photography. Lately I’ve been experimenting with textile patterns.
I’m a bit of a tree hugger and I enjoy growing vegetables and raising chickens. I love God and I love my family. Trivia games and do-it-yourself television shows are favorite pastimes of mine as well as reading fiction and of course, pursuing any creative project that strikes me as interesting. It is my sincere hope that a bit of my eclectic character can be seen reflected in my artwork.
