Hi, I’m Maria. I’m a first year criminal justice major attending CU Denver. I have always dreamed of helping others in the form of a career. While in high school, I was forced to see new perspectives on issues such as, gun reform, sexual assault and rape, racism, socioeconomic status, and so many more topics. This then lead me to an interest in the field of criminal and social justice in regard to law, policy, social work, and victim advocacy.
