I grew up in the carpet capital of the world, Dalton, Georgia. It’s a small town, but it taught me the true meaning of how to work hard and appreciate what I have. I love playing sports, and though I have tried almost everything, I stuck with volleyball and basketball in high school. My family and friends are the most important things to me. I have a little sister who doubles as my best friend and a family that supports me in whatever I choose to do. I also have 5 pets, three dogs and two cats, which keep just the right amount of chaos in the family. I volunteered at the Humane Society for three years with my best friend, which was a very exciting and memorable time in my life. My dad owns a gym, so I grew up lifting weights and I work for him in the summer training high schoolers. I'm a self-proclaimed gym rat, and I'm absolutely obsessed with anything that has to do weightliftng. I also love bodybuilding, and I am competing in a fitness/figure show this summer. Now, I’m majoring in Exercise and Sports Science and taking on the new challenges and experiences in Athens. Since I’ve come here, I have learned many things, in and out of the classroom. I’ve had great times and I’ve had times where I though I couldn’t make it another day, but I now realize that I’m spending my college years in the best city in the world. The memories I’ve made thus far will stay with me forever, and I can’t help but wonder what God has planned for me in the future.
