Michael McManamon

Mr. Michael T. McManamon is currently Chief Information Officer of the Cleveland Sight Center and owner of PTS, a technology and security consulting company. He is the principal authority on all matters related to technology at the organization and for many clients. He works closely with all areas of CSC as well as local, state agencies and other business partners to ensure technology initiatives are well managed, comply with applicable statutes and policies, and align with the strategic objectives of the organization. As a finalist for 'CIO of the Year' three years running, a member of the Executive Advisory Council of the Society for Information Management and a panelist/speaker for the CIO forums, he has been recognized as one of todays top technology leaders.Mr. McManamon has over two decades of experience developing, implementing and supporting technology endeavors for organizations world wide. He has played a key role creating some of the technologies that drive today’s world. In the wireless communications area, he helped develop the direct sequence spread spectrum radio; the precursor to Wi-Fi. Mr. McManamon worked with Sun Microsystems developing and expanding the Java language, especially in the areas of mobile networking and embedded functionality.Mr. McManamon holds a Masters of Science from Carnegie Mellon University, which he earned With Distinction. He also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology/Technology Management and an Associate of Science in Computer Science with Highest Distinction.
