Marko is an experienced counselor/therapist, clinical researcher in psychiatry and behavioral sciences and well-being coach. He has more than 10 years of international experience in the field and has helped hundreds of clients overcome a wide spectrum of unhealthy emotions and dysfunctional behaviors.

Marko utilizes up-to-date approaches tied to cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness principles. These approaches are largely evidence-based and scientifically proven. He tailors these approaches and their techniques to his clients' unique needs. It is his belief that only the counseling /therapy process in which all parties are actively involved leads to a transformational long-lasting lifestyle change. His areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, trauma, and addiction. Marko is providing different modalities of counseling/therapy, such as individual, couples, and group counseling.

Marko holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Organizational Psychology. He also earned Primary and Advanced training certificates in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). He is a foreign trained nurse and clinical psychologist. Currently, he is leading a research team at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, while he is also working as a counselor/therapist and well-being coach at Milates Center for Well-being.
