Madeline Monroe

Hello,

My name is Madeline Monroe and I am currently a junior at Dorman High School. I am currently the Design Editor for DHS's news magazine The Cavalier. Along with editing layouts, I also write for The Cavalier.

I've grown up in Upstate South Carolina, and absolutely love it! I am proud to call myself a "South Carolinian" but I am a die hard Clemson fan. (Go Tigers!) As a cheer for my tigers, I always cheer for my cavaliers too!

Growing up I never would have thought I would be writing and editing for a school news magazine. I have played soccer since I was 5, but quit this year due to my love for journalism! Teachers and students always told me I was rather creative, but I did not like typical art, but I have found my niche here on The Cavalier staff.

I have two younger brothers who have much different talents than I do. Joseph (14) is far more advanced in math and science than most, as where my strengths are in ELA and writing. David (12) is much like Joseph in a achedemic standpoint.

I look for the positive in every situation, as you will see throughout my works. On The Cavalier staff I am considered the "Creative", "Sensative" one.
