As an Anthropologist in the business world, Maya’s expertise lies in observing patterns and trends in human behavior and translating the emerging insights into actionable product, marketing and brand strategies for clients. She has worked across emerging and developed markets in a range of industries including Consumer Electronics, Fast Moving Consumer Products, Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment, Automotive and Food and Beverage.

Maya most enjoys workt hat falls in the intersection of research, business and design. Her portfolio of previous projects include developing the product and experience attributes for the next generation of music devices, designing YouTube India’s web presence to fit with the online behavior of Indian youth, and developing a go-to-market strategy for an Indian automotive manufacturer seeking to enter the European market.

She has worked with large companies such as Google, Nestle and Bose, and with startups primarily in the Food & Beverage space, including a company that introduced the Cold PressedJuice concept in Indonesia, and one that is bringing convenience to the exotic foods aisle in the form of dehydrated ready-to-eat Indian meals.

Maya is passionate about dance, and music and enjoys pursuing creative endeavors in her free time. When not in work mode, Maya is traveling off the beaten path, enjoying a good meal, trying a new workout and living vicariously through Pinterest.

Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Barnard College, Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School ofBusiness, Babson College.
