Mnotho Ngcobo

Mnotho is a legal scholar and lawyer with over six years of practical experience. His research and teaching interests focus on Online Dispute Resolution with an emphasis on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technologies in ODR. Aside from Dispute Resolution he is interested in studies and research concerning the use of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare systems, and Bioethics .
Before joining academia, he worked for over six years as a Candidate Attorney, and later as an attorney in Durban, South Africa. At the age of 23 in 2021, he opened his own private commercial law firm, MT Ngcobo & Associates. In recognition of his work, he was named and awarded by Mail & Guardian as one of the 2021 Young Inspirational South Africans. In 2022 he was named as one of the 100 Shining Stars by Inside Education.
In the fall of 2023, he will be starting his Ph.D. in Law studies at one of the top 100 universities in the world, whilst continuing with his career in academia.
