Matthew Nuar

Matthew Nuar is a third-year student in Chemical engineering at Virginia Tech. When he’s not biking, swimming, or running with the triathlon club he can sometimes be found studying in the library. He has always been addicted to math and chemistry, and realized that work would be fun if he could only get a job in chemical engineering. Matthew likes to referee soccer games and do translation work in his spare time. He speaks a few languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, and Arabic, as well as having studied Latin and Greek. Matthew never had time to watch Star Wars growing up, but that doesn’t seem to have caused too much permanent damage. He tries to stay in good shape, and once decided to run a 50 mile trail run - ten hours before the start of the race - that he finished in the top 25 percentile! Matthew currently lives in Blacksburg, VA and runs at Pandapas Pond Park.
