I am a 5th year accounting PhD student at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. My research examines the judgment and decision-making of auditors and those involved in the financial reporting process. In particular, I am interested in how auditors are affected by external influences to their behavior, including task guidance and social norms. My dissertation examines how auditors order their tasks based on how completion criteria vary across tasks and how this order can affect performance. My teaching interests include primarily auditing and financial accounting, but I am open to teaching any accounting topic.

Outside of research, I enjoy participating in online forums and playing board games. I also participate in Toastmasters, of which I have been a member for over three years. I keep busy on the weekends, but it is difficult for me to resist an invitation to karaoke.
