Michael Odbert

I am currently an engineering computer science student at CU Boulder. Once I graduate, I plan on continuing my education by getting a masters degree in computer science. I'm very interested in the field of video game design, as well as pursuing something with the collaboration of computer science and music.

Some projects I have worked on include the Radio 1190 website, which I run and maintain. Through that site, and in collaboration with a computer science class, I helped develop a mobile application that allows one to stream Radio 1190 on their computer or on their smart phone using HTML5. The first iteration of the site just played a single ogg vorbis file. The second streams the Radio 1190 ogg vorbis file and allows you to listen to it on anything that supports HTML5. Due to some firewall issues, the streaming does not always work. Another drawback is that most smart phones do not currently support HTML5, but the new generations will.
