Moeketsi Mahasa
Project Manager in Vereeniging, South Africa
I am the man whose roots are in rural communities.Phethahatso Community Development is my current vehicle (organization)
To a large extent this determined my profession.
I grew under difficult circumstances and started my school at 14 years.
This was in a herdboys night school.
Shabiness and hunger became part of me.
Many were surprised that I matriculated.
I wanted to go through this phase of my life as quickly as possible without cutting corners.
On a hind sight, I noticed that setbacks and challenges only refine me.
My negative circumstances fueled my desire to become a better person,
Thanks to my pastor who got me a bursary.
I am humble and resilient.
While most setbacks were externally inflicted:
I had my share of bad mistakes. But I have learned from them.
Bad things happen to good people anyway.
But that is no good reason to throw the towel in life.
I am who the lord said I am.
I am grateful about it.
The following reflect only part of who I am:
A rural development Specialist.
A primary farmer
The CEO of Phethahatso Community Development
The Fundraising coordinator for Bridge the Gap Foundation .
I am again involved in:
Agro entrepreneurship development
Agro business and Food processing initiatives.
Skills development facilitation.
Rural development initiation. The bottom line is, I am a farmer, a manufacturer and a change champion who thrives in creating the wealth for the righteous.
I am not there yet. I need the support of all mankind loving people. It starts with you.Partnering with you can change lives of many people for good.
