Atang Mogafe
Teacher, Student, and Psychologist in Gauteng
Hi, I’m Atang Mogafe.
I am a dedicated Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Psychology and History. My academic journey is guided by a deep passion for understanding how individuals think, learn, and grow within diverse educational contexts. I am particularly inspired by the field of educational psychology, as it allows me to merge my love for human development with my commitment to fostering positive learning environments.
My studies have not only deepened my appreciation for the complexities of human behavior and historical change but have also shaped my vision of becoming an Educational Psychologist who advocates for learner well-being, inclusion, and academic resilience. I aspire to contribute meaningfully to the transformation of education in South Africa by helping learners overcome barriers to success and reach their full potential.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I find balance and creativity in my personal interests — from exploring new music and experimenting with flavorful dishes in the kitchen, to staying active at the gym. These experiences continually remind me that growth happens both inside and outside the classroom.
For me, education is more than a career path — it is a calling to inspire, understand, and empower others through knowledge and empathy.
