Mogau Kgomo
student teacher and Volunteer in Johannesburg
My name is Mogau Kgomo, and I am from Mokopane, Limpopo. I am currently a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Sepedi Home Language and Neurodevelopmental Learning Needs. Growing up in Mokopane inspired my passion for education and strengthened my desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners. I am passionate about creating inclusive, learner-centred classrooms where every learner feels valued, respected, and supported to achieve their full potential.
My teaching philosophy is influenced by Paulo Freire, whose belief in learner participation and critical thinking has shaped my approach to teaching. I believe that effective teaching extends beyond delivering content; it involves building positive relationships, encouraging active learning, and creating meaningful learning experiences. I am committed to continuous professional growth and aspire to become a reflective, compassionate, and innovative educator who promotes inclusive education and positively impacts learners, their communities, and the education system.
As a future teacher, I aim to make a lasting impact by nurturing not only academic achievement but also the personal and social development of every learner entrusted to my care.
