Aleksei Mogilnikov

Aleksei is the Chief Data Officer at SBDA Group (Rubbles), where he leads a team of 60+ data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, and ML engineers. He is also a co-inventor of LeanDS - Agile Framework for Managing Data Science Product and Projects, and co-founder of LeanDS University, where 300+ people learned how to manage data teams and create data products. As a freelance consultant, he has helped companies like Beeline, Rosbank, Mindbox, Sportmaster, Exness, and InDriver improve their approach to data management, data teams, and ML models, enabling them to use data more effectively for business value.

Aleksei is passionate about the technical and organizational aspects of working with data: how to collect, process and extract value from it. He believes that progress in this area will provide a new quality of decision-making in commercial and public administration.

Before becoming interested in working with data, Aleksei had been developing high-load SaaS's for Russian and international companies (SKB Kontur, Artec 3D, iiko) for 20 years. He also founded ConfBot, a company behind a bot for conferences, which unfortunately only lasted for a few years. Throughout his career, he has given more than 15 talks at conferences and meetups and was also responsible for the organization and as a member of the program committee at such conferences as - Ruby Russia, GopherCon Russia, FPConf, DUMP and Pycon Russia.
