🌿 Innovating with Nature for a Sustainable Future
My passion is to contribute to the transformation of the chemical and agri-food industries toward a more sustainable future, using green chemistry and biomimicry as inspiration. I’m a scientist, entrepreneur, and nature enthusiast, committed to developing solutions that mimic natural processes to create more efficient and eco-friendly products.
⚪️ To pursue this vision, we founded Imita Natura, a consultancy specializing in the development of sustainable, bio-based formulations. We collaborate with R&D departments, agri-food companies, cosmetics manufacturers, and disinfection businesses to create innovative solutions that reduce waste, optimize resources, and align with the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
🔬 My scientific background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Chemistry, where I developed DNA-inspired structures, and a postdoctoral fellowship focused on CO2 capture using porous materials. Additionally, I’ve worked on projects in medicinal chemistry and applied research for sustainable innovation.
🍯 In my home country, I co-founded an agricultural cooperative producing organic olive oil and launched a bee conservation project for honeybees. This deep connection with nature led me to Spain, where I volunteered for over a year in projects involving organic farming, medicinal plant processing, sustainable construction, botanical gardens, and artisanal organic food production.
💡 Learning from nature is our greatest resource. That’s why I also co-founded Bio Lab, an educational initiative focused on bioinspired design and sustainable innovation.
