Mohamad Chakaki
Leadership Coach, Educator, and Facilitator in Kalapuya Ilihi / Eugene, OR
Peace, I’m Mohamad.
I grew up playing in the sand and surf on both sides of the Arabian Peninsula, and then on the edges of eastern forests and city streets in the Washington, DC metro area. My interests lie at the intersection of cities | nature, art | science, East | West, and so on.
The core values that have and continue to shape my personal and professional journey include: family & community, healing & wholeness, land & earth, ancestry & heritage, and the arts & creativity.
.
My teaching, coaching, and facilitation focus on strengthening the internal capacity to meet the complexity and uncertainty of our current social and ecological challenges with a clear-eyed, creative, and compassionate response that connects mind and heart.
If you're a BIPOC leader working for social and environmental justice, I'd be honored to stand in solidarity and support you.
If you're a Muslim leader working to dismantle systems of oppression by centering healing and liberation, I'd be honored to walk that path with you.
If you identify as a woman and/or LGBTQ+ leader, I want you to know that I aspire to hold space that's safe, affirming, and celebratory of who you are and how you move in the world.
So many of those identities and issue areas intersect, of course. I welcome those intersections! Beyond those identity groups, if you're committed to the causes of justice, healing and liberation, I'm here for you.
Please schedule an exploratory coaching session via the link above, and I'd be happy to share more about my approach to coaching and to hear more about your goals and interests.

I'm a PhD student in Transdisciplinary Leadership for Creativity & Sustainability and a lecturer at the University of Vermont, a Senior Fellow and coach with the Environmental Leadership Program, and an affiliated trainer and mentor with Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation.
