Then, Mouhamad continued his medical education at the Jordan University of Science and Technology and was awarded; with a very good grade, The Higher Specialty Certificate in Medicine \ Otolaryngology which is equivalent to Doctorate Degree (PhD).
On March 2019, doctor Mohamad Alzahr became Arab Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (ENT).
During the residency training program in the Otolaryngology department at the King Abdullah University Hospital, Dr. Mohamad AlZahr had several duties and accomplishments including:
•Clinical examination, counseling and management of wide spectrum of ENT diseases in the Outpatient, ER and Inpatient wards during daytime and on-calls.
•Pre- & postoperative evaluation and care of patients.
•Performed different minor and major ENT surgeries.
•Gained advanced skills and surgical experience by assisting consultants with different interventions and procedures.
•Educational and teaching experience for medical students and junior residents.
•Supervision on junior residents in Outpatient, ER, Inpatient and Surgical Wards.
Dr. AlZahr has surgical experience and advanced skills in most ENT surgeries including but not limited to:
adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, septoplasty, turbinates surgeries, endoscopic sinus surgeries (FESS), grommets and t-tubes insertion, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy and F.B removal, tracheostomy, laser assisted vocal cords lesion removal.
Also, assisted in many operations as: Cochlear Implants, mastoidectomy, auriculoplasty, total laryngectomy and neck dissection, thyroidectomy...
