Mohamed Ehab is the founder of Reel Causes Film Society co-founder of Changemakers Vancouver, and board director at Caravan World Rythm.
An Egyptian born pharmacist, Mohamed moved to Vancouver/Canada in 2008 from Cairo/Egypt with a great interest in being an active community member.
Starting a film group out of his living room, the group has evolved to Reel Causes film Society, with the purpose of organizing monthly community events that support and highlight the work of Vancouver charities.
Reel Causes has become a Vancouver success story raising close to $60,000 for local charities and continue to do so, supported by a strong partnership with Simon Fraser University (SFU) & VIFF/Vancity Theatre.
Mohamed continues to work with Changemakers Vancouver co-founder Ajay Puri in expanding the platform for social change in Vancouver through Changemakers Night out events.
Mohamed has also organized the first Vancouver Egyptian Film Festival in 2011.
Mohamed is frequently invited to Vancouver educational institutes and community events to share his story of integration into Canada, including being one of the speakers at Pecha Kucha Vancouver on November 27th, 2014.
Mohamed is also one of the speakers with Passeges Canada.
Mohamed has been nominated for the Globe & Mail Catalyst award in 2013 for changemakers across Canada.
