Mr. Ammar is currently pursuing his studies leading to a PhD in the University of Alberta in Canada through the Water Resources research program.

He holds a two degrees from Cairo University in Egypt -- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Masters of Science degree in Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering. He is a tenture assistant lecturer in the Department of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering in Cairo University. Mr. Ammar is currently on a study leave from Cairo University since September 2012 to start his PhD research in Water Resources Management and Systems Thinking in the University of Alberta.

Mr. Ammar also worked in a number of major engineering projects under the umberalla of top engineering firms in Egypt, namely, Dar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) and SNC-Lavalin, Egypt.
