Drawing on his diverse experience in the engineering, education and regulatory industries, Mohamed is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in strategic leadership, organizational culture transformation, risk and change management, business and product development, community engagement and developing consultation frameworks.
Academically, Mohamed holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in civil engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, specializing in water resources and currently working towards his Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Alberta.
In 2014, Mohamed was selected as one of Edmonton's Top 40 under 40 and is the recipient of 2 Google RISE Awards for his contribution to computer science outreach. He is also the recipient of the Human Rights Award from the John Humphrey Centre for Peace & Human Rights for his efforts to promote STEM education of under-represented groups and Aboriginal communities.
