Mohamed Nibras

I, Abdul Raheem Mohamed Nibras from Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is a Youth activist, President of Kinds21 Youth Club, Associate Member of Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Member of Internet Society of Sri Lankan Chapter and International Youth Representative of Sri Lanka.

I graduated at University of Greenwich (UK) in Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Computer System & Networking. I attended several trainings and workshops locally & internationally conducted related to Volunteerism, Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurial Skills. Also represented Sri Lanka in India at the “India-Sri Lanka Youth Exchange 2018” held in Chennai & Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. I recently presented his research entitled “Impact of Information Technology in Tourism Industry” in the Tourism Leaders’ Summit and International Research Symposium in University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

I started my career in 2013 at Ministry of Economic Development, Govt. of Sri Lanka and served many government institutions such as State Ministry of Rehabilitation & Resettlement, State Ministry of Highways & Road Development, Ministry of City Planning and Water Supply and Governor’s Secretariat.

I volunteered at several different organizations so I personally could interact with the community in more than one way. I chose these particular organizations because they have personally touched my life in a positive way and I wanted to give back and make it possible to reach out to others. I learned that there is not a job or act of service which is too small for each act must be done for a community to prosper.

I have a very humble beginning and an interesting life journey, born into a middle class family in suburbs of tropical island Sri Lanka I was brought up where, in the warmth of family, goodwill of a few and hard work paid off very well many times over sitting down wishing for luck.

Over the years I built a natural ability to be empathetic, an easy person to approach, speak and influence large audiences, stand for what I believe in and learnt to keep at least one step forward in life. You will usually see me with a smile and ofcourse almost all my pictures in facebook are me with my family, friends or colleagues.
