I am currently working as a Procurement Engineer/Buyer at Saipem Misr, a subsidiary of ENI, and a major integrated energy company and world leader in onshore and offshore petroleum construction and drilling. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt. Previously, I worked as a Foreign Procurement Engineer for Ezz Steel, the Middle East's largest steel manufacturing corporation. While in college, I received on-the-job-training from several companies, such as I.D.M. Technologies, Alexandria Shipyard, and Western Desert Operating Petroleum (WEPCO).
I am proficient on SAP and Oracle. I have completed numerous training courses and achieved certifications in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Crosby Communication System & Global Sourysco: The Proper Use of Selected Crosby Rigging and Lifting Products, Project Management, Solidworks, AutoCAD, ICDL, and other computer programs. I have advanced research skills, and able to proficiently and swiftly comprehend new technologies. I have the skills to diligently analyze problems, find solutions and implement them.
My college Graduation Project was to determine, tackle and solve dire quality issues at Unilever Mashraq, Lipton Tea Factory; to accomplish this, we spent 10 months examining each phase of the production line to determine the root cause of the problem. Our Project Team successfully formed a model solution and dosing mechanism. If implemented, Unilever can increase their production by 20%.
In the past, I have successfully worked under pressure to meet deadlines, worked unsupervised, and worked in a team setting to achieve progress and quality. I am a strong leader with excellent communication and presentation skills. I am able to work efficiently and effectively in a multicultural environment while recognizing the different cultural and diverse characteristics that influence team member relationships and performance.
