Mr. Haji’s journey as a dedicated humanitarian and development practitioner is truly remarkable, reflecting a deep commitment to community development in Somalia. His extensive experience spans a wide array of areas including humanitarian assistance, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and public administration sector reform. His pivotal role in advancing state-building processes such as federalization, decentralization, and inclusive governance underscores his strategic vision and unwavering dedication to fostering sustainable development in Somalia.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Haji has tirelessly worked to promote inclusive local governance and decentralized essential public services, deepening federalism, fostering social, political and environmental peacebuilding for national cohesion, expanding access to justice for the aggrieved parties and promote people-centered resilience building. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, garnering recognition both domestically and internationally. He serves as a beacon of positive change, inspiring others to join the journey towards a more equitable and prosperous future for the Horn of Africa.

Mr. Haji’s contributions extend across various international organizations and UN agencies, including esteemed entities such as Berghof Foundation, UNDP, UNJPLG, Pact Inc, FCA, FAO, ACTED, Turkish Red Crescent, and World Vision International. Through these roles, he has leveraged his expertise to foster social cohesion and drive sustainable development initiatives in Somalia.

Furthermore, Mr. Haji’s consultancy services with renowned entities such as MRG International, DT Global, IRC Somalia, Nathan Associates, NCF/Henrich Böll Foundation, IAS/KNH, SSWC/Medico International, and UNDP Somalia have further enriched his portfolio. His consultancy projects have covered a diverse range of areas, including stabilization, governance, democratization, stakeholder engagement, project evaluation, and strategic planning.

Notably, Mr. Haji has recently completed his Master’s degree studies in community development from St. Clements University in Switzerland. This academic achievement complements his extensive practical experience, providing him with advanced skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating community development projects.
