I'm a second-year graduate student at Santa Clara Leavey School of Business in Information Systems major in Data Science and Analytics. Earlier, I completed my bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Mumbai University.
I come from a rigorous data background, this gave me an opportunity to explore the tools and platforms required for a proficient Software and Data engineer. I'm passionate about learning various techniques to get insights from the data, that includes API Integration (Web Services), Extraction and transformation, designing data warehouse and data marts, data Wrangling. With 4 years of experience in the background, I covered a number of responsibilities ranging from creating the REST APIs and microservices for accessing data and services from a range of sources, building data pipelines for data lake and warehouse in Hadoop & Spark framework, designing database models and schema for warehouse, scripting with UNIX and shell, data ingestion with Sqoop, and program the processes and consumption of massive datasets with large clusters of machines.
Summarizing all experience, I expertise in Java, Python, Scala, Spark, Big data and Hadoop distributed systems, SQL(PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB), Google and Amazon Cloud platforms, UNIX Scripting, Data modeling, and warehousing on AWS Redshift with visualization on (Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight), Streaming and workflow (Airflow, Kafka) with containerization using Docker/Kubernetes/EC2.
I possess excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving skills which have been put in for building applications with data lakes/warehouses, exploratory data exploration, and implementing effective analytics.
