MOLKAT MUTFWANG

BORN 1ST NOVEMBER 1957 IN AMPANG-WEST,MANGU LGA, PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA. Mwaghavul by tribe, Christian, Married with eight children.

Educated in Baptist Hausa School, Zaria 1964-1966; LGEA School Kerang, Plateau State, 1967-1970. Attended GSS Kuru 1972-1976 and proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to read Architecture. Obtained BSc. Arch, 1980; MSc. Arch 1982 and served NYSC in Kaduna State with Gideon Associates.

Appointed Architect II, Plateau State Ministry of Works and Housing 1983-1984 and therefafter switched to academics as Lecturer, Department of Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria 1984-1989. (Areas of teaching and Research included the DESIGN OF COMPLEX AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS and researched into SECURITY AS FACTOR IN DESIGN)

Participated in the design of numerous residential and complex buildings as well as serving as Head, Physical Planning Unit of both National Primary Education Commission (NPEC) and Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) 1990-2009. Was Deputy Director, Physical Planning, UBEC 1999-2009. Following his testimony in court as witness on supoanae, the defendant-Dr Ahmed Modibbo Mohammed, Executive Secretary of UBEC made a petition against Arc Molkat M.Mutfwang and four others to the EFCC alledging conspiracy etc to defraud the Federal Government of Nigeria. The case has been in court since June 2009 -date. Consequently, Arc is now a private architect based in Abuja.

Main Projects Currently: Design and Supervision of the Chancerry of Iraq, Design and Supervision of the Ambassador's Residence, Embassy of Iraq, Abuja.

Hobbies include FISHING & FISH FARMING.
