One of my favorite things to do is scuba dive. I know, I can't dive often because I live in Georgia, but when I get the chance, I dive! I first went scuba diving when I was twelve years old. I have always been adventurous, so when my Dad, who is scuba certified, asked if I wanted to dive with him I excitedly said yes! I gained a new love in my life after that first dive, and lost the fear of the deep ocean! After diving a few more times on different vacations, I decided to become scuba certified. I completed the extensive online requirements as well as the early morning skill dives. All of the work was worth it. My dad, sister, and I are now all certified. I love that I get to dive with them. It is an activity that not many families can say they get to do together. My mom dove with us one time, but sadly it was not her thing. She reads her book on the beach while the three of us dive. I also love scuba diving because I get to explore the beautiful ocean that God created first hand. I have seen sea turtles, barracuda, octopus, lion fish, and beautiful tropical fish. It is an experience and feeling of freedom like no other! Since my certification is for life, I hope to continue diving for as long as my body allows!
