Taking care of my mother during her passing along with a new baby led to depression and soon homelessness.

After only 90 days in a shelter, we moved in with family, where we spent a year waiting for a section 8 voucher. (This is sadly a very short wait as many families spend years waiting to receive a voucher.) Now living in the same home for over three years; I know my future is secure and I will not find myself back in a shelter.

However, What about the 5.8 million homeless families they can't help due to limited space and funding or better yet, the 200,000 children that will have no place to sleep tonight? There has to be a better answer and a more permanent fix to this cancer called homelessness. This is why I am passionate about raising awareness of Homeless rehabilitation through sustainable living and hope to erase the phrase "chronically homeless" from our vocabularies.

I look forward to your feed back and feel grateful for the networking aspect of this site. So, please feel free to contact me on any of my social forums.
