GLORIA KATINDIG
La Funeraria Paz in QC, Metro Manila, Philippines
Gloria Nardo Katindig was born on September 3, 1928 in Corregidor, Cavite. Her (9) siblings are Amor, Esther, Ana, Norma, Evelyn, Lilah, Evangeline, Yolanda and Joselito. She’s the 5th child. They learned the truth through sister Purification Benett. Only her mother, Esther, Norma and Gloria got baptized all together in Pasay on June 15, 1950.
After that, she started serving as a Special Pioneer and got assigned to Bustos, Bulacan. She was later on assigned at Caloocan and met Vicente Katindig. They were blessed with
4 children: Naomi, Jemimah, Michael and, Samuel.
7 grandchildren: Pamela, Mitchell, Jontue, John Mayall, Shermaine, Shiainne and, Sandra Mae.
3 great grandchildren: Mc Vincent, Mckenzie Xutchill and Mickey Spice.
Her siblings know her as a good swimmer and the “morning news.” She was very zealous in her ministry and often doesn’t eat on time. She would just bring bread with her and spend most of her time making return visits and studying interested ones. For 65 years, she became a dedicated regular pioneer.
She’s very proud of her father and would always tell us the story of how her father was a great batter. With the famous line: “Then he hits the ball over the fence!”
Her family will always remember her—especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren on how she would tell the story about her life when she grew up. It is a never ending story and with different versions each time it was told.
Whenever someone will say “Goodbye!” She will always say... ”don't say goodbye, just say so long.”
