Mona Stout, CMT
Articulate, extensively experienced and tech-savvy. Well-rounded industry knowledge, strong writing and editing skills, and medical language expertise as well as a "possibility thinking" approach to problem-solving.
Foundational healthcare industry experience includes former EMT certification, front-office coordination for outpatient practices, customer support in a clinical laboratory, executive assistant to the VP of Human Resources for a major regional healthcare provider in Colorado, and most recently acute care hospital transcription.
I have maintained Certified Medical Transcriptionist status since 1999.
A six-year departure from healthcare world to manufacturing at a missile systems company, supporting the occupational health and safety department just as Right-to-Know laws went into effect, broadened my experience to include OSHA regulations and worker's compensation. I also played a key role in planning and facilitating high-level executive meetings with the missile plant's customers including the Department of Defense and NATO countries.
I contributed articles to JAAMT (professional journal of the former AAMT) and wrote a series of thought-provoking, gently humorous guest editorials for a local daily newspaper.
