Monib Zirvi, MD

An accomplished Dermatologist with years of experience in his field, Monib Zirvi, MD currently serves as a Dermatologist with the Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Monib Zirvi MD also works as an Attending Dermatologist at Overlook Hospital and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Microbiology Department of Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Before accepting an offer to join Summit Medical Group in 2004, Monib Zirvi, MD completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Zirvi excelled during his time as a resident, earning the First Place Beerman-Johnson Resident Research Award during his final year of residency. Prior to beginning his residency, Dr. Zirvi participated in an internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Monib Zirvi, MD attended medical school at Weill Medical College at Cornell University in New York City. During his time as a medical student, Dr. Zirvi completed the National Institute of Health Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) Fellowship and secured the William F. Keck Fellowship. In addition to earning Doctor of Medicine at Weill Medical College, Dr. Zirvi also received a Ph.D. from Weill GSMS. Before enrolling in medical school, Dr. Zirvi earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Monib Zirvi, MD has contributed to a number of research projects throughout his career including a 2003 study exploring the absence of BRAF V599E mutations in Spitz Nevi. In addition to investigating the use of thermostable ligase to characterize microsatellite instability, Dr. Zirvi also conducted research of Muir-Torre Syndrome.
