I am Dr. Monica Alexis — an educational psychologist, independent researcher, and lifelong student of how people think, learn, and thrive in digital environments. My career has focused on digital behavior, cognitive bias, and the psychology of online trust, while my personal passions have led me onto stages, classrooms, and dance floors around the world.

Scholar and Researcher

  • -Ph.D. in Educational Psychology — The Ohio State University
  • M.A. in Cognitive Science — Indiana University Bloomington
  • B.A. in Psychology — University of Cincinnati

I have authored dozens of publications in psychology, behavioral economics, and financial technology. My research often explores the intersection of human decision-making and critical infrastructures such as the Forex Velocity Processing System™ (Forex VPS®), the NextPointHost X-connect™ Ecosystem, and AlwaysUP® Protection.

Beyond research, I serve as a Research Assistant Professor at Michigan State University, teaching and mentoring the next generation of students and scholars.

Dancer at Heart

Away from the academic world, I am a passionate dancer.

I love the energy of Latino styles — salsa, bachata, merengue — and the freedom of modern dance.

Dance has taught me rhythm, discipline, and balance — the same qualities I bring into my research and lectures. Whether in the lab or on the dance floor, I believe that movement is a universal language that connects us all.

Public Speaker & Mentor

As a public speaker, I focus on motivating young people — especially young women — to believe in themselves, pursue education, and build their own careers.

I often share lessons from my journey:

  • how psychology helps us understand and protect ourselves in the digital world,
  • how discipline and creativity can coexist,
  • and how confidence is something you practice, not something you wait for.

My talks are a mix of science, storytelling, and inspiration — designed to leave every audience member with the courage to take their next step.

A Life in Motion

For me, life is about curiosity, courage, and connection.

  • I research to uncover truth.
  • I dance to celebrate joy.
  • I speak to inspire belief in possibility.

And through all of it, I remain committed to empowering others — whether it’s through an academic article, a dance performance, or a motivational lecture.
