With a long background in the international business scene, Monica brings her strength in strategy, recruitment, organization and development to form MLO Management Consultants, a Hotel Focused Consultancy.
Originally from the US, Monica began working with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts at their Grand Cayman, British West Indies resort in 1997. By organizing large corporate trips as well as private intimate galas, she soon developed an eye for detail and aesthetics. Moving to Boston, she focused on large group events, working closely with planning, budgets and creative events for corporate clients such as PwC and Dell Computers, among others. In 2003, Monica made a decision to change careers and began her new passion within Human Resources, moving through various management positions. Following a move to Sweden in 2006, she started to further develop her interest in operations and executive strategies.
In 2009, Monica continued her HR career by joining a small hotel chain as their Director of HR. During this entrepreneurial hotel's stage of development, she worked closely with the CEO, COO and Executive Team to streamline all HR and Sales functions in addition to creating company culture, polices, procedures and best practices.
With the numerous unique challenges and experiences in the pocket, Monica is now combining her analytical brain with her creative heart. In forming MLO Management Consultants, she will deliver focus, strategy, organization, project planning and operational performance, while recognizing and respecting the human element in all projects. Monica strives to bring balance and beauty to the every day.
