Monica Saud

Student in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

I am a Systems Engineer from Venezuela, currently in working on my last year of a Business Administration degree at Algonquin College, majoring in International business.

I am fluent in English and Spanish, have strong computer skills, highly organized, with strong cash handling experience from having worked as the customer service representative for the Scotia Private Client Group (now Scotia Wealth Management) in the Ottawa-Gatineau region; and pleasant with customers and colleagues.

For six years I worked at the Embassy of Panama where I got involved and trained in international trade, assisted the Ambassador with the ratification of the Canada - Panama Free Trade Agreement and developed a passion for the matter. While in Venezuela I was an outspoken member of a political party in my community, and in Canada I served as a Director for the Students' Association of Algonquin College, both experiences gave me great leadership and people's skills, which I apply in every aspect of my work life.

I am currently looking for a position in a trade office, preferably in one that manages a LatinAmerican portfolio where I can be an asset with my knowledge of the culture, language and previous experience.
