Nuclear engineer Dr. Monideep Dey considers public safety to be the primary concern of any nuclear power plant operation. During his 21-year career with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Dr. Dey spearheaded the development and adoption of rigorous safety protocols and regulations. As a recognized leader in nuclear safety, Dr. Monideep Dey has communicated with various media groups, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to educate and inform the public on nuclear safety issues. He continues to be an advocate for public safety as a United States delegate to the International Standards Organization (ISO) Technical Committee for Fire Safety. Dr. Monideep Dey acts as President and sole consultant of his nuclear safety training and consultancy business, Deytec, Inc. Through his company, Dr. Dey focuses on fire safety in regard to nuclear power plant operations. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan and is active with many national and international agencies.
