Monika is serving as District Resource Person (DRP) under State Social Audit Unit Himachal Pradesh (India) at District Hamirpur (DRDA).
She is a graduate (Economics Honor's) from Government Post Graduate College Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh University Shimla (India). She holds a Master's Degree (Economics) from the Department of Economics, Himachal Pradesh University Shimla (India), along with a PG Diploma (Population Studies) [Gold Medalist]. She holds a PG Diploma (Rural Development) from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Dehli (India) and also holds a Diploma (Women's Empowerment & Development).
She holds experience in different project works as a Field Investigator (Field Survey/Data Collection) in the Department of Population Research Centre Himachal Pradesh Shimla (India). As a Research Assistant, she was associated with the National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad (India). She was associated with the International Institute of Population Studies Mumbai (IIPS Mumbai) as a Field Investigator and Female Interviewer for the National Family Health Survey-4 (NFHS-4) that was conducted under the Population Research Center Shimla. Moreover, she has research experience in the field of Rural Development, Demography/Population Economics, and Development Economics as an investigator.
