Between writing projects, Monique spends most of her time in the kitchen or at the beach. The thing that she loves doing most of all, is doting on her two adorable children.
Monique, husband and children, live north of Mackay on the Central Queensland coast. As a family, they like to spend spare time exploring the region's diverse natural features and planning the next family adventure beyond the backyard.
Monique is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Writing at Deakin University, majoring in Children's Literature. She hopes to use this opportunity to prompt the artist within; using life, work and educational experiences as creative inspiration.
Her first love was Nutrition Science, and she previously obtained an Associate Degree in Medical Science with a Nutrition specialisation.
Monique also enjoys growing produce for the family table and spends 'too much' time working on unfinished craft activities.
