Monique Boone has over 20 years of experience in education, with a deep commitment to literacy, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Her journey spans classroom teaching, leading Digital Learning & Instructional Technology, serving as a Teacher Development Specialist in Texas’ largest school district, leading as the Senior Director of Curriculum & Instruction in Cleveland ISD, and contributing nationally through research, training, and content development with the AFT. Her work includes initiatives in foundational teaching skills, identity-affirming classrooms, STEM, and AI in education.
Monique is also a founding partner of For The Culture Literacy Development, an educational consulting company focused on literacy in historically marginalized communities. She is passionate about equipping educators with the tools to build literacy-rich, innovative, equitable, and inclusive classrooms across the globe.
In recognition of her work, she received the 2022 TCTELA Mercedes Bonner Leadership Award for her dedication to multicultural education. Monique believes that her educational legacy will empower the oppressed and inspire future generations.
