SHERRI MONIQUE PURCELL was born in North Carolina. Being the daughter of a Bishop and an Evangelist, she has invested many years of service in the ministry. Not only is she an anointed psalmist, she is a gifted poetess, choir director, composer, arranger, vocal coach and instructor. With years of experience serving in the music ministry, she now allows God to use her through this medium to make a difference in the lives of people.

She received dual Bachelor of Arts Degree, with concentrations in Vocal Performance and Music History and Literature, from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro. She performed her graduate studies from Temple University, Philadelphia and now dedicates her life to encouraging those who have accepted the responsibility of ministering to the hearts of people through music.

To add to her accomplishments, Ms. Purcell is a published author of two books- The Price of a Yes (her autobiography) and This Song’s for you- A Poetry Collection. She is the President and CEO of "La-Ti-Dos Greetings, which is a line of greeting cards specifically for Ministers of Music. Ms. Purcell is also the Founder and President of the School of Vocal Artistry-A Vocal Training Institute for Vocal Ministers of Music.

In January of 1998, Miss Purcell was honored when asked to sing at one of former President William Clinton's inaugural ceremonies, which was held in Washington, D.C.

“Many singers want their music to make a difference in the world.
However, they seldom stress the importance of living the difference before the world.”
