Montgomery Johns

As Medical Director for The Center for Advanced Women’s Medicine in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Montgomery Johns, MD, has accumulated a number of accolades and recognitions throughout his career. He graduated in the top 20 percent of his class at the University of California, Los Angeles’ David Geffen’s School of Medicine and in 1987 obtained board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Montgomery Johns, MD, was included in the 2010 National Registry of Who’s Who as one of America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In 2011, he earned honors as a Leading Physician of the World. The same year, he received designation as a Top Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Fredericksburg. In addition to these honors, Montgomery Johns, MD, holds affiliations with several professional organizations. These include the National Board of Medical Examiners and the Fredericksburg Medical Society, both of which count him as a Diplomate. He also maintains membership in the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Johns serves as a board member for the Surgi-Center of Central Virginia, as well. Dr. Johns is on staff at Mary Washington Hospital, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and previously served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He donates his time and expertise to treat patients at the Moss Free Clinic as well. This facility, staffed by volunteer physicians such as Dr. Johns, provides primary health care to residents who cannot afford to obtain treatment otherwise. Montgomery Johns, MD, enjoys numerous hobbies outside of work, including Civil War re-enactments. He counts gardening and clay shooting among his favorite pastimes, as well. Dr. Johns is also an avid golfer.
