I am a Video Production and Marketing student in Hampshire College. I love working with video, film, and photography, through a range of production forms. Making narrative films, music videos, stop-motion animation, commercials, or visual art that can translate into an experience that triggers an emotional response within the viewer is my main target.
As filmmaker leyend Stanley Kubrick once said,
.
" A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later."
.
I have been fascinated by photography and video from the first time I laid my hands on a camera from a very young age. I quickly went from taking pictures and making short videos with my sister on my celphone, to developing my own analog film and shooting videos with increasingly more complex stories for my highschool's television channel in T.V. Production class.
Now that I am in my third year in college, I have taken a number of courses that have introduced me to distinct tools, techniques and apparatuses used for video production and have prepared me to handle the various stages of the production process, from pre-production to post-production.
I have also had increadible opportunities to further my skills outside of school; This past summer, I was invited to participate in an production internship with TV UNAM's production studio in Mexico City. While there, I expirienced a fast paced T.V. studio enviorment where I got to helped with different aspects of production, such as, camera operations, contacting guests, location managing, production assitance during live shows, gathering B-roll, stand-ins, floor directing, editing and was even asked to prepare and star in my very own 3-part segment on Jorge Luis Borges's 114 birthday anniversary for our Cultural News program (Inventario) broadcasting, for this story I had to prepare the concept and content, which consisted in: Contacting experts on the subject, scheduleing and filming the interviews, writing a script to guide the hosts and I through the segments, making a biographical video to introduce the subject, and finally, presenting it on the Live show ( something that I would rather never do again, I am more of a behind the scenes kind of gal).
Currently, at the same time as I am working as an Editing Intern for HeadyTunes, wher
