"If the opportunity doesn't knock, build a door". This is a quote that I have frequently thought about throughout my life. I was born in Livingston, New Jersey on November 9, 1996. I lived in South Orange, New Jersey for several years until my parents got a divorce and then I moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. My mom worked very hard to give me and my brother any and everything we needed and I applaud and appreciate her for all she did for us, She is definitely my inspiration to work hard and become successful. In Bethlehem, attended middle and high school. Throughout high school, I was involved in many different student organizations. The thing that I am most proud of is when I volunteered with a film institute where we brought awareness to several important social issues in low income neighborhoods. This taught me a very valuable lesson which is to always stay humble. I graduated high School with a 3.3 GPA and I am currently a sophomore at North Carolina Central University majoring in Business Marketing. Here at Central I am apart of House Arrest 2 Dance Team which has taught me a lot about respect and discipline. I'm also a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. At Central I have met many interesting and helpful people that have my best interest at heart, whether it be a student or a professor. After I graduate I hope to become employed at a marketing firm and eventually becoming a marketing manager for an advertising company that does advertising for major fashion companies. I am very determined to achieve all my goals in life and everyday i remind myself, "If opportunity does not knock, build a door."
