Caitlin Moore

I am a sophomore at East Carolina University after transferring from a 2 year community college in my hometown, Salisbury, NC. I am majoring in elementary education. If you cant tell I love dogs! I also love to cook! I worked for a catering company back at home and loved every minute of it. Ive actually thought about opening up my own restarant.I try to be creative whether im preparing a home cooked meal or designing scrapbook pages. surprisingly the majority of my pictures are of my dogs. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Before my senior year I had my heart set on interior design. However I have always loved children and had teaching in the back of my mind. I enrolled in the teacher cadet program my senior year of highschool, which was basically an overview of the teaching profession. I even student taught a local 3rd grade class. I was so glad that was in teacher cadet because it opened my eyes to my true talent. I realized that I wanted to teach for the rest of my life and touch the lives of many young children. I love childrens books and have started a collection of my own. One of my favorites is "I Love you Forever" by Robert Munsch, but I also love the Eric Carle books, "The Rainbow fish", and doctor Suess books. There are too many favorites to list. I have truly been inspired by the many great professors here at ECU to become the best teacher that I can be!
