David Moore

My name is David Moore - I'm a mechanical engineering intern studying Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. Since I was young, I've always been interested in the universe, space travel, aircraft, and sci-fi. Due in part to this, and along with my passion for building things, I enrolled at SDSU as an Aerospace Engineer. Currently I am employed at Aquaneering Inc. as a Mechanical Engineering intern, and have been with them for over 2 1/2 years. My skills include: a knowledge of mechanical engineering, knowledge of drafting standards, basic machine shop experience, experience with the engineering process, great ability to work as a team member, and a huge amount of experience using solid modeling software (primarily SolidWorks with Workgroup PDM, but including Siemens NX PLM, ProEngineer, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.) I use SolidWorks for modeling parts, assemblies, and planning generation on a daily basis at work.
Aside from work and school, I love to take out my telescope for amateur astronomy, play music (primarily piano and drums - occasionally I'll play clarinet... badly), try new video games, participate in community service events, and relax with friends.
