Elder Michael Steven Moore

Biographical Sketch

Michael Steven Moore is known and respected as a minister, musician, and marketer recognized for his unique perspective on the word and its principles and how it fits the Christian life. He is also known for his life long contribution to music both Christian and secular and his especially gifted infinity for praise and worship. In 2011 he rebranded himself and his companies and became MOOREMENTUM, LLC.

MOOREMENTUM, LLC, is a Visionary Marketing, Media & Management Full Service Agency. It specializes in Music Industry, Faith Based Community, Urban Marketing, Political Culture, and Memphis Market. Working with a variety of clients to develop, brand and position their products and services via traditional and emerging media.

The firm's name is a combination of Moore (the founders last name) and momentum (strength or force gained by motion or by a series of events) made into one word and Capitalized, creating “OUR BRAND”.

For over three decades Michael has provided over site to Church Music Departments as Minister of Music. Earned a reputation for building, training, and maintaining great music departments. Providing services as Music Project Manager, Choir Master and Consultant for Promise Keepers, US NAVY and others. He serves presently as minister of music of a local Church of God in Christ ministry and serves in the national Church of God in Christ Music Department.

A recording engineer by trade Michael studied Commercial Music Business at University of Memphis, and Worship Music at The International Worship Institute in Dallas Texas where he also served in a senior staff capacity.

Michael is a member of NARAS, GMA and SAGMA, served two terms on The Memphis and Shelby County Music , and also served on the Shelby County Music and Film Task Force. As Executive Director of Memphis Gospel Alliance (MGA) he writes for The Memphis Music Foundation Newsletter, Memphis Music Magazine and other publications.

Preferably known as a Praise and Worship Leader, Michael is a producer, songwriter, vocalist and music executive.

Michael Steven Moore was licensed and ordained an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1989. (previously licensed in 1983 and ordained in 1985 in the Missionary Baptist Church)

Since his original ordination Michael has served as assistant pastor, administrative assistant to the pastor, administrative assistant to the church, and i
