Terry Moore

Renowned artist Terry Moore is a Chicago native born September 23, 1969. He was born raised into a household of Holiness and decided at an early age that this was the mandate for his life. Terry began playing instruments at the age of 7 concentrating on piano and organ. He has a sincere passion for God. God has commissioned Terry's life for praise and worship. Through his music the presence of God is ushered in and the atmosphere is changed with uninhibited praise.

Terry attended North Park College & Seminary. He obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Marketing/Communications from Columbia College in Chicago. Terry plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership.

During the course of his musical career his talents have awarded him many opportunities. Terry's many talents have afforded him to serve as Musical Director/Principal, Musical Arranger and Producer. He loves to share his musical gift with others by participating in music clinics, workshops, and seminars. His ministry in music has allowed him to perform in several overseas locations such as Italy, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Latvia, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bermuda, Fiji Islands, Prague, Poland, Cairo, Argentina, China, Hawaii, Albania, Australia, France and the Bahamas. He ministers through his singing and musical gifts at the Go Gospel Celebration in East and West Germany and Switzerland annually.

Currently, Terry serves as the Executive Music Director at the Salem Baptist Church of Chicago where the membership exceeds 25,000 members and the Rev. /Senator James T. Meeks is Senior Pastor. Terry's tenure at Salem has been from March of 1998 to the present. He recognizes the awesome responsibility of offering praise unto God. His everyday goal is to please an awesome God in all facets of his life through living, giving and teaching. Psalm1: 1-2 says blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scournful. But his delight is in the law of the lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Also, Matthew 6:33 say "But Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." These scriptures inspire him to glorify God with the talent that God has bestowed upon him.
